Catch the ferry from Mulifanua, Upolo to Salelologa, Savaii. Check the timetable on the Samoa Shipping Cooperations website or facebook. Book in advanced if you are taking a car or get your tickets on the day if you are walking on. You should arrive at the terminal 1 hour before your departure time.

You will need to purchase a samoan drivers licence to hire a car or scooter here. Most hire companies will be able to sell you this licence or you can purchase it from LTA (Land Transport Authority)

Catching the Bus
The buses go from their village to the Market place in Salelologa, most drop off at the Ferry before the Market and wait at the Ferry after leaving the Market before returning to their village.
Other than the market and Ferry terminal there are no official bus stops, just stand on the side of the road and put your arm out get the bus to stop for you. Busses usually have their destination written on the front, you can get off the bus at any point on the journey up to their destination point.
